Thank you for visiting my page and allow me to introduce myself.

I am Teri Winters Hahn, a furniture artisan from London, Ohio and owner of "Paint By Layers Design".

I am a mother of 2 adult children and grandmother to 6 beautiful granddaughters.  My husband, Don and I have been married for 34 years and he is extremely helpful to me with repairs and offers his total support for my small business..

My love of painting began at a young age when I often had a "Paint By Numbers" project in progress.  I continued to paint and learn from my grandmother who was always painting around her large home.  As a young adult I learned to refinish hand me down furniture for my first home and carried on my knowledge when my husband and I invested in rental properties.  Painting walls and woodwork in neutral colors  wasn't too inspiring but the transformation a fresh coat of  paint provided  was instant gratification.

When my daughter purchased her first home  I learned of the chalk paint craze and became interested in helping her furnish her home. Thus I began painting in living COLOR with the shades she loved.

I started going to estate sales and discovered  the younger generation did not appreciate family hand me downs of solid wood furniture;  instead purchasing IKEA and other molded fiber furniture pieces which would be thrown away and never passed on as heirloom pieces.

That realization gave me the inspiration  to save vintage family furniture pieces that were well constructed, solid wood treasures just needing to be RE-LOVED.

QUALITY, VINTAGE FURNITURE TRANSFORMED WITH LOVE INTO PIECES OF ART FOR YOUR HOME DECOR.

This journey  began for me 7 years ago and I have never looked back. Since I am retired from the corporate world, I am now able to paint practically every day.  It has become my PASSION and I hope it shows through my work.

Thanks again for stopping by and getting to know me.

Let me know if I can help you find  that showstopper, piece of furniture art for your home.

Warmest regards,   Teri
