SOLD This dresser has been sold but is an example of the look I can replicate on another piece of furniture
This 1890's era antique dresser was given a new updated farmhouse look with the use of black milk paint. This is a very large and handsome example of the furniture craftsmanship of the late 1800's.
The top was sanded and preserved with oil wax to highlight its beautiful wood and character marks achieved from a long, well-lived life. Every little mark along with the wooden pegs used to attach it to the base are a part of the history of this massive dresser.
The body was painted with black milk paint and sealed with hemp oil to achieve a authentic silky smooth finish. The wood is peeking thru in all the right places to provide a beautiful farmhouse look. The knobs are original to the piece.
The large drawers were lined with a gorgeous toile wall paper which was a perfect match for the period of this piece.
This handsome dresser would be perfect statement piece in any room of your home.
