Antique 1920's Jacobean Buffet has been restored and updated with paints. stains and decoupage paper. This sideboard was hand-painted with a deep black mineral paint with decoupage paper added for an Old World canvas style finish to the 2 front drawers. The same paper was also added to the drawer interiors.
I added decorative round, wood appliques to each side cabinet door to showcase the original beautiful drop hardware pulls. Copper decor wax was used to highlight all the details of the wood appliques on this buffet and was also added around the wood stained top.

The wood top and the gorgeous legs were sanded and re-stained producing a gorgeous walnut finish which was then sealed with multiple layers of a protective poly finish. Two side storage cabinets were treated with General Finishes Orange oil which both cleans and replenishes the wood and leaves a subtle clean smelling fragrance.
This traditional sideboard/buffet was crafted in the early 1900's but it is remarkable how well made and sturdy she is. This heirloom piece has stood the test of time and will certainly be of service for many years to come whether used as a buffet, coffee bar, media stand or showpiece in your entryway. This piece is the perfect modern, eclectic farmhouse decor.
